Research on two clients

Based on the brief, there are two clients that we need to consider in our design: WeChat & Friends of the Earth (FoE).

WeChat: As a Chinese, I use it a lot in my daily life. We use WeChat in many ways, normally, communication, pay the bills, and do research. Etc. Moreover, WeChat makes a lot of efforts on their program called, ‘Tencent Charity’. This program makes more people pay attentions on the charity activities.

WeChat is a mobile text and voice messaging communication servicedeveloped by Tencent in China, first released in January 2011. The app is available on Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Phone platforms.
more than 600 million people downloaded the app, and there are over 300 million active users that engage with the app daily. This makes it one of the world’s largest messenger/social media apps in use. More importantly, WeChat is used for more of its functionality than just a messaging service.
In China for instance, everything is done through WeChat and that’s an understatement. Besides messaging, WeChat also offers video calling, voice calling, Emoticons/stickers, QR coding and capture, gaming, geolocation searching (Shake), blog posts (Moments), brand channels and mobile commerce (this is big, folks), and much, much more.
Tencent Gongyi(Tencent Charity): Tencent Gongyi is a charitable crowdfunding mobile service for users to contribute and support crowdfunding campaigns hosted by charitable organisation. The service is one of the built-in web app within WeChat Pay wallet, which is an accessible path to encourage micro-donations.

FoE:

Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland (also known as FoE EWNI) is one of 75 national groups around the world which make up the Friends of the Earth network of environmental organisations. It is usually referred to as 'Friends of the Earth' within its home countries.
As per its website,the current campaign priorities of Friends of the Earth internationally are:[9] economic justice and resisting neoliberalism; forests and biodiversity; food sovereignty; and climate justice and energy. The campaign priorities of FOEI are set at its bi-annual general meeting. Additionally, FOEI also plans campaigns in other fields, such as desertification; Antarctica; maritime, mining and extractive industries; and nuclear power.[9][10] In 2016, FOEI also led a campaign on the consumption and intensive production of meat (Meat Atlas).
